The Assistant Director, Risk and Strategic Intelligence role will be responsible for implementing fraud risk assessments across the Child Care Subsidy Program, identifying and mitigating potential fraud risks. They will undertake detailed post-case fraud investigation analysis to detect new and emerging fraud trends, ensuring a proactive approach to fraud prevention.
Collaboration with the Integrity Detection team will be crucial to ensure that the integrity risk indicator business rules and logic are suitable and fit for purpose. The candidate will conduct environmental scanning of emerging risks and draft Risk and Operations Strategic Intelligence (ROSI) reports. These reports will inform the Financial Integrity Operations Committee and the Financial Integrity Governance Board members of environmental risks, providing visibility of integrity issues for operational considerations and interventions.
Additionally, the role involves identifying key controls within the Child Care Subsidy Program that require pressure testing and developing a comprehensive project plan for these tests. This includes setting clear objectives, timelines, and methodologies to thoroughly assess the program's robustness and integrity.
Establishing and maintaining solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is essential to support a comprehensive approach to fraud control. Furthermore, the Assistant Director will provide expert advice to the Division on matters relating to fraud policy and legislation, ensuring the division remains informed and compliant with current regulations and best practices.

- Identifying, designing, and executing pressure testing of key controls within the Child Care Subsidy Program.
- Developing robust project plans for control testing, including clear objectives, timelines, and methodologies.
- Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support fraud control initiatives.
- Providing expert advice on fraud policy, legislation, and compliance matters to the Division.
