This well-known Federal Government Agency is seeking an APS6 Senior Program Officer to join one of their branches due to an increase in the workload. Your new branch administers grant programs internally and externally, and their work spans the entire grant lifecycle.
Your new role
As the APS6 Senior Program Officer, you will be responsible for planning and implementing various aspects of grant programs. You will lead projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to strategic initiatives and process improvements. Your responsibilities will include stakeholder engagement, policy interpretation, financial monitoring, and data analysis, all while supporting a positive and inclusive team culture.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your new role, you will have experience in a similar position in the Federal Government. You will also have:
* Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex information.
* Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship building.
* High-level administrative skills and proficiency in office software (e.g. Word, Excel).
* Strategic thinking and a proactive approach to innovation and business improvement.
* A collaborative mindset and leadership potential, with experience mentoring or supervising staff.
