Technical Lead - Cloud & Application Security Reecetech As part of reecetech, you’ll join a 200 strong team that handles everything from Product Management and Engineering, to Data and AI. You’ll work closely with engineering teams on securing the services & applications that are developed and used by Reece, providing security mentorship and leadership. The team will champion secure development practices, empowering engineering teams to embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, while building and running security tooling and automation that will allow us to achieve this at scale. About the role The Information Security team’s focus is to secure both the build and run phase of software services, this is a critical role that will champion secure development practices, best security practices for our cloud teams, whilst building and running security tooling & automation that will allow us to achieve this at scale. Responsibilities Collaborate with teams to champion secure software development practices, building awareness and education more broadly. Build and run a self-service platform consisting of tooling and processes that are working to empower teams to own their application security posture, enabling teams to get fast feedback and insights, along with an understanding of severity and priorities of remediation activities. Implement scalable, high-performance hosting solutions using Cloud Technologies Lead and mentor the team to achieve their best Champion and drive continuous improvement initiatives About You You recognise that the customer is at the heart of everything we do, and you thrive on making the lives of our customers and people better. You: Extensive experience working in cloud security or a related field, with at least five years’ experience in software development, with a platform engineering or software development background. Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Experience performing threat modelling and risk assessments, including design and code review. Experience working with source control management and automation pipelines such as git and tooling of choice. Software development experience in one or more of JavaScript, Java and Python. Experience with infrastructure automation such as CloudFormation and Terraform. Strong understanding of cloud security principles, architectures, and best practices Knowledge of identity protocols and patterns such as SAML, OIDC and oAuth. Experience with operating systems and domain environments such as Windows, Linux, and containerised workloads. Experience mentoring and/or leading other team members.
