We are looking for a dynamic and motivated National Planning Manager who will successfully lead a team of demand and vendor replenishment planners as well as oversee and manage the demand forecasting and planning process across our portfolios.

About the Role
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the National Planning Manager will play a critical role within the Supply Chain team collaborating cross functionally and with key customers to ensure the portfolio is delivered efficiently, meeting customer demands while operating within agreed inventory policies and associated costs.
**Key Responsibilities will include**:
- Lead a team of planners to develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends and inputs from internal departments.
- Drive customer demand planning alignment and collaboration, as well as representing the function internally to deliver agreed customer service levels.
- Lead the supply and demand execution for NPDs and product change projects.
- Advocate and drive continuous improvement of product introduction and change management process to improve speed to market for new products, structural cost improvements and prioritisation of resources.
- Manage escalations related to demand and supply issues across all channels for mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Ensure operational activities are completed within required timeframes and budgetary requirements.
- Recommend and manage inventory decisions to optimise stock holding and actively manage SLOB.
- Utilise advanced analytics and demand planning software to analyse data and provide insights for decision making.
- Support the ongoing development of tools and processes to deliver a robust IBP process, leading and/or participating in relevant forums.
- Participate in business leadership teams for strategic and business planning by contributing from an overall supply chain planning perspective.
- Coach and mentor direct reports and other key supply chain team members.
Skills and Experience
- Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline
- Prior experience leading a Demand Planning function within FMCG or similar industry
- Experience in S&OP/IBP and supply management
- Proficiency in demand planning software and data analytics tools
- Sound ability to collect, analyse and present complex data and information effectively to support decision making and action planning
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide authoritative advice, influence and negotiate with a diversity of internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks to achieve objectives and KPIs
- Demonstrated record in delivering continuous improvement initiatives in a complex operating environment.
- Ability to adapt positively to changing conditions or unexpected obstacles.
