This role is part of our Steel & Timber Frame and Truss sector and works closely with our amazing internal and external stakeholders to ensure we're an efficient and valuable part of their build.
Stoddart Group are seeking an experienced Steel & Timber Frame Detailer to support the Detailing Department based at our Truganina site. The detailer is responsible for providing detailed, accurate and precise technical drawings and specifications for the installation of steel & timber house frames & trusses. The successful candidate should possess strong knowledge of residential steel & timber frame and trusses and will ensure that all designs meet structural, aesthetic and regulatory requirements, and support the integration of materials and components.
Duties of the role include (but certainly are not limited to):
* Produce detailed technical drawings and/or plans for installation of steel and timber house frames and trusses, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding site design or issues
* Review and ensure compatibility of steel & timber framing structures are compliant with other building materials such as lining and cladding from time-to-time.
* Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to confirm material availability and agreed upon delivery times, ensuring a smooth process end-to-end.
* Conduct site visits (where necessary), offering technical support to installation teams when needed.
* Proactively understand and prepare detailing solutions
Ideal candidate attributes:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a detailing role within the Steel or Timber Frame and Trusses sector
* Strong knowledge of Construction OHS standards and technical compliance requirements for manufacturing and installation
* Comprehensive experience using Enduro CAD, MiTek 20/20 & Sapphire software or similar is highly desirable
* Ability to read and understand building plans
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to a variety of stakeholders
* High attention to detail & excellent time management skills
