This position is pivotal in driving the success and excellence of the Day Procedure Unit at a private hospital in Shepparton.
This is a permanent full-time position.
ABOUT THE POSITION
In this key leadership role, you'll work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to support the delivery of safe, high-quality care while fostering a collaborative team environment.
You will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the unit, with a strong focus on leadership, clinical excellence, and supporting the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Applying advanced nursing practices in planning, implementing, and evaluating care in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards;
- Supporting all members of the nursing team, acting as a role model and resource person within the clinical area;
- Supporting the strategic direction, operational processes, budget, and business direction of the unit and hospital;
- Contributing to staff development and team cohesion across the department;
- Overseeing staff rostering and ensuring effective allocation of resources;
- Taking on NUM responsibilities during periods of leave.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant current registration with AHPRA;
- Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in this role;
- Clinical leadership experience will by highly regarded;
- Flexibility to work across a rotating 7-day roster.

REMUNERATION
$55.92-$57.76 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

The hospital, located in beautiful Goulburn Valley, is an acute surgical and medical 69-bed facility.
The hospital has 3 fully equipped Operating Theatres, a High Dependency Unit, and a Day Procedure Unit.
