About Venues NSW
Venues NSW is a commercially focused agency of the NSW Government, encompassing the Sydney Cricket Ground, Allianz Stadium, and major sporting and cultural stadiums and precincts across Sydney, Olympic Park, Parramatta, Newcastle, and Wollongong. The network hosts over 5 million visitors annually at more than 500 events, contributing significantly to the economy.
Venues NSW adopts an integrated approach by developing partnerships with sporting codes, the entertainment and event industry, audiences, local businesses, NSW Government agencies, and community groups. About the Role
Formed in December 2020, Venues NSW is a commercially focused arm of the NSW Government. We work closely with Destination NSW, major sporting codes, and promoters to provide a vibrant calendar of major events that excite and entertain the people of NSW. This position is based at our Moore Park headquarters.
Supporting the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer will assist with processing weekly payroll, maintaining employee payroll records, and handling payroll inquiries.
This is a part-time role within the Finance team, requiring availability from Wednesday to Friday. The Payroll Officer plays a vital role in delivering efficient payroll services in accordance with Venues NSW policies, Enterprise Agreements, and relevant Awards.
About You
Ideal candidates will possess:
1. Demonstrated payroll experience in a similar role
2. Understanding of payroll and basic accounting procedures
3. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
4. Knowledge of Preceda or similar payroll systems
