Teaching Position at Coastal Primary School
Located on the southeast coast of Melbourne, approximately 128 km from the city centre, lies a thriving primary school with around 155 students. The school boasts a full-sized gymnasium, expansive outdoor play areas, covered walkways between buildings, and outside classrooms.
The Sounds Write Phonics Programme is delivered to students from Prep to Grade Six, while additional tutoring support is provided in mathematics and English. Our approach to learning focuses on hands-on activities, encouraging students to develop resilience, independence, accountability for their work, and problem-solving skills through challenges.
Responsibilities may include:
• Teaching groups of students and individual students.
• Contributing to curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation in a specific subject area or programme within the school.
• Performing other classroom-related duties as determined by the school principal.
This role requires a teacher who can effectively engage students and enhance their learning experience. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the relevant curriculum, experience in responding to student needs, and a commitment to delivering and modelling respectful relationships and programmes that promote student wellbeing and engagement.
