The Team:
The permanent pool is a highly skilled pool of registered nurses who work within the hospitals needed to fill gaps in staffing. The pool nurses work in all wards of the hospital, with adaptability and resourcefulness.
The Role:
The Registered Nurse strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.
You will need
* A minimum of twelve months clinical experience as a registered nurse.
* Ability to work anywhere in the hospital, with an emphasis on medical and surgical wards.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time or part time, shift worker positions available, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 6 October 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
* Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
