Organisational Context
east Victoria across an area of 20,000 square kilometres. The service delivery area is bound by Corryong, Yarrawonga,
Benalla and Dartmouth. We operate 21 water treatment facilities and 22 wastewater treatment plants that service most
towns across the region. Over 200 full time equivalent staff are employed at our centres in Wodonga, Wangaratta, Benalla,
Yarrawonga, Corryong, Beechworth, Mount Beauty and Myrtleford.
Our operations are overseen by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) on behalf of the
Minister for Water, and the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) on behalf of the Treasurer. We continue to invest in
innovative and long-term capital projects which contribute to the health and well-being of current and future generations.

Position Objectives
The P&I Business Support Officer:
* Provides high level business support for the corporate business systems and software applications of the Planning
* & Infrastructure business group.
* Provides high level business support to the Manager Infrastructure Strategy and Planning.
* Provides oversight of the P&I project management system including document register and performance reporting.
* Prepares agendas, attends meetings and captures actions and presents the actions arising from previous meetings.
* Researches, networks, bench-marks and analyses business information to identify business improvements.
* Prepares and edits business reports for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the Board.
* Represents Planning & Infrastructure at a wide range of meetings with key internal and external stakeholders and
* be able to summarise key outcomes and actions.
* Provides oversight of procurement approvals and approvals in Adobe Sign on behalf of the Manager Infrastructure
Strategy and Planning.
* Coordinates routine and project-based documentation.
* Prepares agendas, attends meetings and captures actions for relevant meetings, including the Quarterly Planning &
Infrastructure team meeting.
* Prepares, gathers information for and proof reads reports as required, including the Planning & Infrastructure
* monthly highlight report and reports for the Executive meeting, and Committee and Board meetings.
* Accompanies the General Manager Planning & Infrastructure to meetings with key internal and external
stakeholders as required to capture and track actions arising.
Key Responsibility Areas
* Provision of high-level business support on behalf of the Manager Infrastructure Strategy and Planning, including
e-mail and calendar management.
* Monitoring and tracking priorities on behalf of the Manager Infrastructure Strategy and Planning and assisting with
their completion as appropriate.
* Preparation of agendas and business reports for the Planning & Infrastructure team as required.
* Coordination of routine and project-based documentation.
* Preparation and processing of documentation in Adobe Sign for signature for relevant business unit items.
* Liaising on behalf of the Manager Infrastructure Strategy and Planning to access performance reports from the
Asset Management Information System and Project Management system.
* Assisting in the quarterly review of control documents.
* Provision of support and information for audits as required.
* Maintaining the Planning & Infrastructure SharePoint page and maintain and administer project SharePoint files for
Planning & Infrastructure.
* Acting in the role of Executive Assistant to the Managing Director as required.
* Providing support to the Executive Leadership Team as required.
Organisational Relationships
This role reports to the Manager Infrastructure Strategy and Planning and liaises with all internal stakeholders, peers in
water corporations or local government, government agencies and members of the public.
Accountability and Extent of Authority
* The P&I Business Support Officer is accountable to the Manager Infrastructure Strategy and Planning and supports
the Planning & Infrastructure business unit.
* The work may involve problem solving, using procedures and guidelines and the application of
professional or technical knowledge acquired through relevant experience.
* Maintenance of the highest standard of confidentiality in accordance with the Victorian Public Sector Code of
Conduct.
