Langford Support Services is seeking reliable, compassionate and flexible Disability Support Workers to join our teams across Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes and Community Access (CA) programs in Hobart.
We are aiming to hire approximately 15 support workers to meet current and upcoming roster needs. This recruitment will follow an invitation-only interview process. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
As a Disability Support Worker at Langford, you will provide person-centred and active support to people with disability, supporting their independence, wellbeing and community participation.
✅ Roster Needs & Availability
We are recruiting to support current and upcoming roster gaps, including:
* Sleepover shifts (SIL)
* Early morning shifts (7:00 am – 9:00 am)
* Shorter Community Access shifts (2–6 hours)
While these gaps are a priority, flexible availability across multiple shift types is essential to be considered. Availability will be discussed during phone screening and interviews.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
* Provide respectful, person-centred support aligned to participant goals
* Assist with daily living activities and routines
* Support community access, social and recreational activities
* Promote choice, control, dignity and safety
* Follow individual support plans and safety requirements
* Complete basic documentation and progress notes
* Work collaboratively with team leaders and colleagues
During interviews, we may also discuss interest across both SIL and CA, where suitable.

* Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support or Community Services (or willingness to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Check – NDIS endorsed
* National Police Check (within the last 6 months)
* Current First Aid & CPR
* Valid Assist Client with Medication and Healthy Body Systems Certificate
* Australian Driver’s Licence
* A reliable, respectful and person-centred approach
