School of Law and Society, UniSC Moreton Bay, Petrie or UniSC Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs. Academic Level B, $118,481 – $140,567 (pro rata) p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation. Part time (21.75 hours per week), fixed term appointment until March 2027.

The Opportunity

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of counsellors through high-quality clinical education and industry engagement. In this role, you will lead the coordination and facilitation of simulated, telehealth, and placement-based learning experiences, ensuring students develop strong clinical competence, ethical practice, and professional identity.

Working closely with industry partners, community organisations, and professional bodies, you will strengthen and expand placement opportunities while contributing to curriculum innovation and contemporary counselling practice. Your leadership will enhance student learning outcomes, industry partnerships, and the broader discipline of counselling.

You will:

* lead and facilitate high-quality clinical education across simulated, telehealth, and external placement settings, including student supervision and assessment
* design, deliver and evaluate contemporary counselling curricula, integrating scholarship, professional practice and reflective learning
* build and strengthen industry and community partnerships to expand placement capacity and enhance student employability

About you:

You are an experienced and reflective counselling professional and educator with demonstrated expertise in clinical supervision and evidence-based teaching practice. You adopt a student-centred approach and create inclusive, engaging and ethically grounded learning environments that support professional identity development.

You are well connected within the counselling profession and contribute positively to academic culture through leadership, collaboration and service. Committed to continuous improvement, you actively engage in professional and academic development and respond to emerging trends in counselling practice and education.

You will possess:

* A completed or near-completed PhD in a relevant field, or equivalent accreditation and professional standing, or a minimum of five years' clinical experience as an accredited counselling professional
* Demonstrated effectiveness in clinical teaching and supervision across simulated, telehealth and placement settings, evidenced by student feedback, peer review and/or student outcomes
* Proven leadership in the delivery and coordination of quality clinical education for undergraduate students
* Active membership of, and strong professional connections with, relevant counselling bodies and community organisations, including evidence of developing or strengthening industry partnerships
* Strong collegial and interpersonal skills that contribute to a positive academic culture and high standards of student engagement and achievement
* Evidence of ongoing participation in academic and professional development activities, with a commitment to continuous improvement in teaching and supervision practice
