We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Category Manager – Industrial Hose & Connectors (APAC) to lead strategy, growth, and profitability across this critical product category. In this leadership role, you will hold overall responsibility for the Industrial Hose and Connectors portfolio, including: development and execution of the category strategy; delivery of sales and profitability targets; supplier selection and strategic management; growth of our PBL (Home Brand) range; internal technical support and training development. This role operates within a matrixed structure and leads a team of product category specialists.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver the Industrial Hose & Connectors product strategy.
* Drive achievement of sales, margin, and growth targets.
* Partner with sales teams to optimise pricing and profitability.
* Contribute to GMROI, ROIC, and overall inventory performance.
* Develop collaborative partnerships with key suppliers.
* Evaluate and recommend new vendors.
* Manage agency agreements and supplier relationships.
* Ensure technical documentation and master data accuracy.
* Champion new products, services, and channels.
* Lead and develop your team, including KPIs and performance management.
* Provide technical and sales support to the network.
* Work closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales Leaders, and Corporate Support.
* Engage with key customers and industry stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
* Formal qualification in Business and/or Marketing (desirable).
* Strong commercial acumen and demonstrated marketing experience.
* Deep segment experience (mechanical aptitude advantageous).
* Leadership and management capability.
Skills
* Strong written and verbal communication.
* Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Collaborative mindset with high customer focus.
* Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint).
