At Cirql, we don't focus on industry specifics, our core specialisation is partnering with middle-market organisations that are experiencing change. This client is the perfect example of that - a prominent ASX-listed medtech innovator proactively professionalising its corporate systems, processes, and capability for the next wave of expansion.
Having successfully transitioned from high-growth research & development into a global commercial scale-up, our client is now focused on the widespread distribution of solutions that are fundamentally changing patient outcomes. Operating at the intersection of biotechnology and clinical precision, the internal environment is defined by technical excellence and the commercial agility required to scale within a complex regulatory landscape. For a finance professional, this represents a rare opportunity to join a business that is both mission-driven and commercially accelerating.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to a recently appointed and highly regarded CFO, this role is a critical hire for the finance function. This is a deliberate partnership designed for a technically astute accountant who wants to move beyond the checks and balances of month-end and into a role where they can truly influence the financial capability of a listed company. As the primary driver behind elevating reporting capabilities, you will lead the transition from legacy processes to a sophisticated financial framework that supports long-term global growth.
What You'll Be Doing
This role offers a balance of high-level statutory reporting and hands-on process design, where you will take ownership of ledger integrity while optimising systems to scale. Your core responsibilities include:
* Leading the end-to-end preparation of half-year and full-year statutory financial statements in compliance with AASB and ASX requirements.
* Managing the month-end close with speed and precision to provide the CFO with a clean and insightful view of performance.
* Navigating and documenting complex technical accounting areas such as R&D tax incentives, share-based payments, and multi-currency consolidations.
* Collaborating on the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting to provide granular data analysis against strategic targets.
* Overseeing corporate tax obligations and managing cash flow forecasting to ensure liquidity for global expansion.
* Acting as the primary liaison for external auditors to ensure a seamless and transparent audit cycle.
* Leading the ongoing optimisation of NetSuite to automate workflows, improve data capture, and refine internal control frameworks.
* Assisting the CFO with Board reports, investor presentations, and various commercial projects.
What You'll Bring
You are a CA or CPA qualified professional with a strong accounting pedigree, likely having commenced your career within a Big 4/Mid-Tier audit firm or an industry environment and you will have worked with Netsuite. This foundation has given you a sophisticated understanding of AASB/IFRS standards and the high level of compliance rigor required for ASX reporting.
Beyond your technical capability, you possess a natural proactive interest in how to do things better, utilising systems like NetSuite to drive efficiency and data integrity. You are a problem-solver who enjoys the challenge of building robust financial frameworks and can translate complex financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders with clear, confident communication. Above all, you take professional pride in accuracy and are motivated to contribute to a fast-moving, purpose-led organisation.
Not sure if you meet these requirements? Please apply - we are happy to discuss your individual circumstances.
