About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and detail driven Financial Accountant to play a key role in supporting MMCNQ's financial operations, reporting, and payroll compliance.
Reporting to the Finance and Business Manager, you'll work closely with senior leaders and service teams to ensure our financial and administrative processes run smoothly, accurately, and in line with statutory and organisational requirements. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will genuinely support services that make a difference in children's lives every day.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end processes
* Assisting with the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
* Providing payroll oversight, including reviewing Xplor Timesheet data and reconciling payroll to ensure award and statutory compliance
* Supporting the Finance and Business Manager, senior leadership, and service teams with financial and administrative advice
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
* Building strong, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and compliance
What You'll Bring
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within a medium-sized organisation
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
* Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
* A current Paid Working With Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain
* National Criminal History Check
