About this work area
As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your focus will be on leading and supporting the warehouse team, coordinating deliveries, managing stock flow, and maintaining compliance with Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Training and guiding casual warehouse workers and delivery drivers.
- Assigning daily duties, preparing weekly rosters, and monitoring performance.
- Ensuring warehouse safety, cleanliness, and compliance, including up-to-date forklift and vehicle licences.
- Coordinating with the sales team to collate customer orders, schedule deliveries, and respond to customer queries and complaints.
- Reviewing invoices, quotes, and order data, and entering information into the inventory system.
- Managing product barcodes, bay storage codes, and supporting automated inventory scanning.
- Planning daily delivery runs, container unloading, and warehouse organisation.
- Overseeing storage of dry and frozen goods across main and third-party warehouses.
- Monitoring inventory levels, reporting on expiry trends, and working with managers on clearance strategies.
- Ensuring strict adherence to QAP standards and maintaining your own QAP accreditation.
- Supervising secure disposal of quarantine waste and ensuring all quarantine-handled goods are managed by an accredited person.
As a Warehouse Coordinator you have:
- A safe mindset and experience with physical warehouse work.
- Proven leadership skills to manage, train, and support a diverse warehouse team.
- Strong organisational ability to balance scheduling, stock flow, and customer requirements.
- Confidence in using inventory management systems and data entry tasks.
- An energetic approach, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer focus, ensuring reliability and service in every delivery.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Candidates with existing forklift licenses and wide exposure to prior working in a warehouse/logistics environment are preferred.
