The Role
Bestchance Child Family Care is currently seeking an exceptional individual with a positive and proactive approach to join our passionate and supportive team at the Armstrong Creek East Children's Centre. This role requires someone who is prepared to provide assistance in all aspects of running the centre.
We have an interest‐based children's focus in our rooms and we are looking for a like‐minded passionate Assistant Director/2IC who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children every day.
Fixed‐Term Full Time position until 19 December 2025.
Desired Skills & Experience
* Experience supervising in a childcare environment, working within a strength‐based and family‐centred approach
* Desire to develop warm, respectful and positive relationships with staff, children and families
* Genuine passion in creating a safe, secure and nurturing environment
* Creative with an enthusiastic hands‐on children's approach
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Experience developing rapport and positive working relationships with stakeholders and families from a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds
* Previous experience in a similar role advantageous
Required Qualifications
* Completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification
* Ready to take the next step in your career by leading Educators
* Valid Employee Working with Children Check
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting)
* Successfully completed 'Protecting Children – Mandatory reporting and other obligations for the Early Childhood Sector' training
* Well‐developed understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and National Regulations
