Key Responsibilities
* Ensure our organisation's mission remains clear, appropriate and relevant;
* Provide guidance for setting the direction of our organisation;
* Monitor programmes and activities to ensure alignment with our mission;
* Set objectives and performance indicators for the CEO;
* Regularly review executive performance;
* Ensure adequate systems of internal control;
* Manage risks effectively;
* Comply with governance standards.
Requirements

* Leadership skills;
* Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively;
* Capacity to speak up and ask hard questions.
Candidates should have particular skills or experience in one or more of the following areas: corporate governance, environmental campaigning, fundraising, finance and financial management, cultural, political, economic and social context of First Nations people, research and/or scientific literacy.
