Our client is a prominent tier one construction and engineering company renowned for its expertise in various sectors, including Energy, Resources, Infrastructure, Marine, and Defence. They consistently deliver exceptional services within these industries.
Currently, we are actively seeking experienced
**Sheet Metal Workers** to join their fabrication workshop in Henderson, with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, totalling 50 hours per week.
Key responsibilities and tasks you would undertake:
- Fabricating and assembling components like ductwork, ventilation systems, tanks, and refinery structures using stainless steel or aluminium, utilizing cutting, shaping, bending, and joining techniques.
- Understanding project requirements by interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, ensuring accurate fabrication and installation based on dimensions, materials, and assembly methods.
- Ensuring precision in cuts, bends, and fits of sheet metal components through the use of measurement tools such as rulers, callipers, and micrometres.
- Performing welding or brazing tasks to create strong connections between metal parts, employing appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Inspecting and repairing existing sheet metal structures and components within the refinery, addressing issues like damage, corrosion, or wear to maintain functionality and safety.
- Following safety protocols, regulations, and promoting a culture of safety awareness by wearing personal protective equipment and maintaining a secure work environment for yourself and the team.
**Requirements**:
- Working Safely at Heights
- Construction White Card
- Relevant Trade Certificate P_referred_
- HRWL EWP - _Preferred_
- At least 2 years of experience in the relevant trade following completion of apprenticeship.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Available to start within the next 2-3 weeks
- Able to pass a comprehensive Pre-Employment medical including drug and alcohol screen.
