About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our workshop team as an apprentice heavy vehicle mechanic. As part of this role, you will assist in repairing and servicing Council's vehicles, trucks, and equipment.
* Develop your technical skills through on-the-job training and complete a nationally recognised qualification
* Work in a fast-paced environment with a supportive crew who will mentor and guide you
* Gain transferable skills that can be applied to a variety of roles within the trade
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A willingness to work and study undertaking a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* A Class P1 or C Driver's Licence (MR Licence is a bonus)
* A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work safely in a large workshop environment
In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, the successful applicant will be required to provide evidence of vaccination for Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Q-Fever.
