What You'll Be Doing
* Lead a Team: Organise, coordinate, and control laundry staff to ensure a high standard of service for both hotel guests and employees.
* Stay on Top of Operations: Ensure smooth workflow, proper sorting of linens, and the proper functioning of equipment to avoid any mishaps.
* Health & Safety First: Promote and maintain a safe work workplace, ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) procedures, and assist in training staff on hazard identification and safety protocols.
* Stock Control & Maintenance: Monitor chemical supplies and equipment, ensure sufficient stock levels, and maintain machinery to keep operations running seamlessly.
* Team Development: Work with the Laundry Manager to implement effective training programs and ensure all team members provide courteous and professional service.
* Support for Special Projects: Be flexible and take on tasks outside of your regular duties to ensure everything runs smoothly, from linen stock takes to special guest requests.
Who We're Looking For
* Have previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a laundry or hospitality environment.
* Be a strong communicator who can lead by example, ensuring staff perform at their best.
* Be proactive, with the ability to think on your feet and handle any challenges that arise.
* Be familiar with health and safety standards and have a keen eye for detail.
* Be passionate about developing a high-performing team and creating a positive work culture.
