Goodstart Early Learning is currently seeking a dedicated Practice Partner. You will be a critical enabler of the State’s practice uplift goals, providing coaching and advice on all matters pertaining to quality Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), ensuring the delivery of nationally consistent and targeted teaching and learning support.
In this hands-on role, you’ll use your expertise to coach and support centre teams, strengthening teaching and learning practices, including for children with additional needs. You'll provide guidance on all aspects of quality ECEC, ensuring nationally consistent and targeted teaching and learning support to help centres achieve excellence.
Your Impact
1. Provide on-demand, high-quality, consistent, and effective advice and coaching support for teaching and learning for all children.
2. Work directly with a selected group of centres in the delivery of their Quality Improvement Plan actions in a coaching and modelling capacity to build sustainable teaching and learning capabilities in centre teams.
3. Support the implementation and centre-based improvement of the QRS, the NQS, the EYLF, and other approved learning frameworks across your state, focusing on high-priority centres identified by the State Manager.
4. Maintain currency and expert knowledge of QRS, NQF, NQS, EYLF, and relevant state learning frameworks, along with Australian ECEC practices.
5. Collaborate with the broader Teaching and Learning for All Children team to identify, develop, and implement key practice uplift initiatives and strategies.
6. Work with cross-functional specialists to co-design, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Maintain thorough knowledge of Child Protection Law matters applicable to the jurisdiction and respond proactively to child protection issues.
8. Develop and maintain working relationships with the Operations Team to support safety outcomes across the region and state.
You’ll bring to the table
1. Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognised university.
2. Extensive and recent practice-based early childhood teacher education experience (aged birth to 8 years).
3. Strong understanding of the A&R process and the Exceeding Themes.
4. Experience delivering high-quality training to centre-based teams.
5. Experience supporting practice uplift with centre-based teams.
6. Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, other state-approved learning guidelines, and the National Quality Standard.
7. Understanding of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
8. Excellent communication, organisational, evaluation, and team leadership skills.
