Overview
Help at Hand Support Services is looking for experienced Disability Support Workers who would like to join us and help make a difference in the lives of people with a disability.
Responsibilities
* Provide a person-centred approach; daily routine varies depending on the person you are supporting.
* Assist with activities such as going to the beach, watching a movie, or attending a game or other outings.
* Assist clients to attend medical appointments and provide companionship at home (e.g., with a cup of tea).
Qualifications and Requirements
* Own a fully insured and reliable vehicle
* High Care experience
* Certificate III in Disability or above or equivalent experience
* Current Working with Children Check
* Current First Aid/CPR certificates
* Full and clean Australian driver's license
* Punctual, reliable and adaptable
* Positive written and verbal communication skills
* Empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest to work in this field
* Ability to self-supervise and remain calm and composed in times of crisis
* Right to live and work in Australia
