Senior Application Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Application Specialist to join our customer team. This is on‑site working from the customer office at Laverton and reports into the Practice Manager.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Application Development, Enhancement, and Support of technical components in 3rd party applications
* Enhancements to application components where appropriate
* Respond to alerts raised by application monitoring, investigate and resolve
* Follow ITIL best practice for incident management
* Proactively check processes to identify issues before they affect deliverables
* Analyse data‑related issues to determine how best to resolve application integrity issues
* Application Support for all business applications and interfaces
* Technical assistance for business teams relating to general application queries affecting their functional areas
* Involvement in project handovers to ensure a smooth transition to production support
* Ensure database performance, replication and data backups are operating efficiently
Requirements and Experience
1. HTML
2. C# (Model-View-Controller or similar pattern, secure Web API, deployment and packaging)
3. JSON
4. Object‑oriented programming concepts
5. Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or later: TSQL, stored procedures/views, knowledge of database schema, indexing, performance optimisation
6. .NET Core 3.1 or later (latest is .NET 8.x)
7. Version control
8. Internet Information Services (IIS)
* JQuery
* Bootstrap
* NuGet
* Automated testing
* Jira/Confluence (Atlassian suite)
* SSL certificates
* DevOps/DevSecOps/CI‑CD
Australian Citizenship is mandatory. Current or reinstatable AGSVA NV1 Security clearance, NV2 is preferred.
