Redlands Coast Museum is seeking a Café & Catering Coordinator to manage our small onsite café/servery and support catering for events, volunteer gatherings, exhibition openings, school groups and visitor activities. About the Role
As the Café & Catering Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the Museum café and food service activities. You will:
* Prepare and serve fresh, simple food and beverages with consistent quality
* Develop and coordinate menus for the café, events and group bookings
* Oversee food ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation
* Maintain kitchen safety, hygiene and compliance
* Lead and support a small team of catering volunteers
* Provide warm, welcoming customer service for all Museum visitors
* Help grow the Museum's catering capacity through efficient, friendly service
This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys a mix of cooking, hosting, organising and interacting with people.
What You'll Bring
* Experience in food preparation, plating and presentation
* Strong organisational skills, including inventory and stock control
* A friendly, professional communication style with a visitor‑first approach
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with volunteers
* A proactive mindset and calm approach to problem solving
* Food Safety Supervisor certification, or willingness to obtain
* Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
