This Health and Safety Business Partner role offers variety in your week, balancing time in the field with frontline teams, engaging leaders through coaching, and strengthening our safety systems.
You will partner with teams across River Murray Operations, Production and Treatment to embed critical risk thinking, enable safe production through effective controls, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your ability to influence, confidently present to large groups, and leverage technology will see you thrive in this fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The People and Safety group are focused on ensuring workforce well-being and success through strategies such as talent attraction, diversity, and collaboration, while also prioritising health and safety efforts to prevent harm and promote overall well-being and career development.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
* Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.
* Build strong relationships with business leaders and frontline teams to drive health and safety outcomes.
* Coach and support others to improve health and safety behaviours and systems.
* Influence critical risk and control initiatives and embed them into business practices.
* Facilitate and support health and safety training, inspections, and continuous improvement activities.
* Contribute to operational excellence and safe production by enabling smarter, safer ways of working.
Your success in this role will come from:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience.
* Management system audit training and experience.
* More than 3 years' experience in WHS risk management in a complex multi-faceted occupational environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills and business partnering/influencing skills.
* Experience in demonstrated effectiveness in managing teams.
* Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation.
