About The Role
We are seeking Community Support Workers to join our friendly and supportive Home and Community Care team in the North Metropolitan area of Perth. Work locations include Kalamunda, Ballajura, Upper Swan, Shenton Park, Floreat, Maylands, Noranda, Karrinyup, Hamersley, Bayswater, Stirling, and North Perth. Applicants must reside within a 15-minute drive of these suburbs, hold a current Australian driver's license, and have a reliable vehicle.
Our team provides community-based care programs that help our aged clients live independently at home. We focus on person-centered care and best practices, working in a supportive environment that encourages initiative and leadership.
In this role, you will support clients to maximize their independence, providing personal care (such as showering, dressing, toileting), and assisting with domestic duties, meal prep, and social support, including transportation. The position requires experience in personal care (6-12 months), with preference for those with community care experience and medication prompt skills.
This is a permanent part-time role, scheduled between 7 am-5 pm, Monday to Friday, with availability between 7 am-3 pm each weekday. Future similar vacancies within the team over the next year may also be available.
Key Responsibilities
1. Personal care, including showering, dressing, continence care
2. Assist with medication administration (training provided)
3. Support high-care clients with daily activities
4. Assist with domestic duties and meal prep
5. Provide social support and transportation
6. Follow client care plans
Key Requirements
1. Current Australian driver's license and reliable vehicle
2. Experience in aged care, including personal care
3. Community care experience (desirable)
4. Certificate III in Aged Care (desirable)
5. Dementia care experience (desirable)
6. Current First Aid certification (desirable)
