The Opportunity
Austal is currently looking for a Painter Blaster. They will assist with general labouring, preparation, and cleaning tasks within a shipyard environment. Austal aims to grow its paint & blast team and will provide full training.
What's involved
Assist the Painters/Blasters with sanding, painting, and blasting.
Confined space entry sentry and fire sentry duties.
Maintain a clean and tidy work environment with an aim to minimise waste in all forms.
Hold self and workmates accountable to high safety standards.
You'll need
Ability to use general tools safely.
Trade certified or experienced in industrial painting/blasting.
White Card.
Previous painting or blasting experience is desirable.
Pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening required as part of onboarding.
Strong safety focus.
