About Housing Hub

Established in 2017, Housing Hub is a dynamic social enterprise dedicated to supporting people with disabilities in finding high-quality, suitable housing. We operate a national digital platform that connects housing seekers with providers, fostering an online community where choice and control are at the forefront.

We are innovators. We regularly pilot new market interventions and projects to challenge the status quo. We are passionate about supporting people with disability to live a life of dignity in the way they choose.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Governance and Risk Specialist to serve as our second line of defence

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (Company Secretary), you will be the architect of our risk maturity. This is a pivotal role designed to ensure our products and services are delivered safely, sustainably, and with the highest level of integrity.

As we look toward the future, including the integration of AI and advanced SaaS tools into our footprint, you will ensure our frameworks are not just compliant, but agile enough to leverage new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Risk & Compliance: Develop and optimise fit-for-purpose risk and compliance frameworks. You will lead the identification and monitoring of risks, oversee NDIS registration requirements, and implement our Business Continuity Plan.

Governance: Manage the lifecycle of Board and committee meetings, from preparing high-quality meeting packs and minutes to ensuring operational policies are reviewed and up-to-date.

Culture & Training: Embed a culture of accountability by training employees in risk application and managing the internal incidents, complaints, and compliments process.

Strategic Support: Work with IT to assess cybersecurity risks for new technologies and provide critical data analysis via risk dashboards to the leadership team.

About You

You are a strategic thinker who enjoys the "gray area" of a rapidly changing environment. You have the technical rigor to manage complex regulatory requirements but the communication skills to make those requirements clear and actionable for the whole team.

Qualifications:

Degree in Commerce or Law.

Post-graduate qualification (CPA, CA, Practical Legal Training, or Chartered Secretary qualification).

Experience & Skills:

Proven Track Record in similar roles.

Experience in risk, compliance, and governance within a highly regulated environment (Registered Charities or Companies Limited by Guarantee preferred).

Demonstrated experience implementing risk, compliance, or quality management frameworks.

A passion for SaaS and tech enablement. Experience with Salesforce, Airtable, Diligent Boards, and Google Suite (we use Macs and Google Suite) is essential.

Ability to turn complex data into clear reports and dashboards.

Why Join Us?

At Housing Hub, we put people with disability first. You will join a supportive, inclusive, and impact-focused team within our People, Culture, and Operations department. We offer a work environment where curiosity is encouraged and challenges are met with care.
