This recruitment is for both Permanent and Fixed-Term appointments (Full-Time, Part-Time, or Sessional). Fixed-Term appointments may be extended or transitioned into permanent roles.

* District Medical Officer - Non-Procedural: $462,140 to $578,587 per year (or $885.90 to $1109.11 per session)
* District Medical Officer - Obstetrics Procedural: $528,577 to $578,587 per year (or $1013.25 to $1109.11 per session)
* District Medical Officer - Anaesthetics Procedural: $528,577 to $578,587 per year (or $1013.25 to $1109.11 per session)
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive medical services, including emergency care, ward-based care, and GP outreach clinics
* Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Remote Area Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health staff, Aboriginal Health Workers, and others
* Offer clinical leadership, supervision, and education within a supportive environment
* Opportunity to engage in patient retrieval and high-level care through the Royal Flying Doctor Service
* Focus on continuous professional development and clinical excellence
About You
* You are a skilled Rural Generalist or General Practitioner, ready to work in a collaborative, resourceful, and innovative environment
* You have full registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) and possess a relevant medical qualification
* Experience in emergency medicine and rural settings would be an advantage, but we are also eager to hear from those passionate about learning in this unique setting
