* This position is a contracted position.
* Pay is $18-$23/hr depending on experience.
About the Job
As an Environmental Field Technician in the Technical Services division of GB (GBTS), you will work and support the Environmental/Industrial Hygiene practice area in Central Miami Dade County and/or Broward County. Your primary responsibilities include performing visual site inspections, collecting samples, evaluating analytical data, and writing comprehensive technical reports. You will provide environmental technical services to clients, conduct site surveys and investigations, and manage projects for asbestos, lead, and mold remediation.
The ideal candidate understands and evaluates compliance with State and Federal health and safety regulations, laws, rules, and codes. You will also assist senior consultants with complex environmental projects, data collection, and proposals. Effective communication with field consultants, management, and client organizations is essential.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of two years of undergraduate college studies in geosciences, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, civil engineering, or a related area of study.
* A valid State of Florida Asbestos Inspectors License (preferred).
* A valid State of Florida Asbestos Supervisor License (preferred).
* Current training certificates in NIOSH 582, Radon technician, IAQ CIEC, Mold Inspector, EPA Lead Paint Inspector/Risk Assessor (preferred).
* A valid State Florida Driver's License.
* Location in Miami-Dade County or southern Broward County.
