Research Assistant Role
We are seeking a skilled Research Assistant to join our team and contribute to the coordination and delivery of clinical trials. This full-time role offers a 12-month contract, providing an ideal opportunity for career growth in clinical research.
This position is based at the Tennyson Centre, where you will support the on-site execution of national and international clinical studies conducted through Icon Research. You will work closely with our team to contribute directly to our mission of improving patient outcomes through innovative cancer care.
As a Research Assistant, you will have the chance to work hands-on in cutting-edge oncology research and become a key player in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. You will gain exposure to all facets of trial management and work alongside a supportive team of Clinical Research Coordinators, Trial Investigators, Governance Officers, Oncologists, Haematologists, Pharmacists, and Nurses.
You will receive structured training and mentoring to help you develop in the role and prepare for long-term growth within our organisation.
* Support the coordination and administration of oncology and haematology clinical trials across multiple phases.
* Maintain accurate and compliant clinical trial documentation, including Investigator Site Files and essential records in accordance with GCP (Good Clinical Practice).
* Assist trial investigators with documentation reviews and sign-offs, ensuring timely and accurate data collection.
* Support remote and on-site monitoring visits by study sponsors and CROs. Occasionally travel between local clinics to assist with cross-site research activity.
* Prepare for patient visits, coordinate appointment scheduling, and liaise with external hospitals regarding tissue or medical information requirements.

Key Requirements
* Relevant undergraduate degree.
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in MS Office suite and database management.
