About the role
The Aboriginal Mental Health Clinician is a key member of the multidisciplinary team providing mental health care to children, adolescents and their families/carers in the Orange area. The position promotes the mental health and wellbeing of Aboriginal families and the wider community and where possible works in a holistic way to prevent the development of mental health problems.
This role sits within the Infant Child Youth & Family (ICYF) mental health services which operate from Bloomfield Hospital, Orange. The Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health team is a multidisciplinary team working with young people up to age 18 with mental health challenges that are having a significant impact on their daily life. ICYF consists of services ranging from early intervention through to acute services. The Team partners with a range of health Services and other agencies who may include Department of Education, NSW Department of Communities & Justice, Headspace and other Government and non‐Government agencies across the area.
This position is Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5pm, not working public holidays. Monthly ADOs are available for full time staff.
