Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience and be passionate about helping clients manage construction costs and ensure financial efficiency throughout project stages.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed and accurate cost analyses, estimates, cost plans, and feasibility studies for construction projects.
2. Be technically proficient in all aspects of pre and post contract QS services.
3. Manage client relationships and expectations.
4. Manage and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, including junior staff.
5. Take responsibility for a portfolio of projects across different sectors.
6. Seek career development and progression opportunities for high-performing employees.
Requirements:
* Expertise and accreditation in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
* Minimum 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience.
* Membership in an approved Professional Body (e.g., AIQS, RICS, CIOB) preferred.
* Strong knowledge of the local construction industry including development, contracting, and consulting sectors.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated skills in client file management, planning, and organization.
