About the role
The Grade 1 Exercise Physiologist role is suited to an early‑career clinician. As the Grade 1 Exercise Physiologist you will provide exercise therapy‑based rehabilitation across our programs and services in particular our Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Cancer Wellness Program. As part of our multidisciplinary care team the Exercise Physiologist ensures that our patients receive quality care that is evidence based, supports optimal patient outcomes and promotes independence in managing chronic symptoms.
This role involves patient assessment, goal setting, individualised care plan development, exercise prescription and education to patients and/or their carers.

* Works autonomously but critically as part of a team
* Is a good communicator with their team and patients
* Has strong insight, reflective practice and problem‑solving skills
* Appropriate clinical knowledge and expertise (equivalent to a grade 1 level)
* Willingness to learn
* Willingness to support and work with students
* Understands the principles of rehabilitation and their application
