About This Role
The Counsellor will provide brief intervention counselling services to individual students. These may include face-to-face, telephone, online and crisis counselling. They will also support larger groups by conducting workshops with diverse groups to promote student mental health and wellbeing.
* Eligibility to register with the Psychology Board of Australia through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and/or the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* A significant amount of demonstrated experience as a counsellor delivering services in a range of settings to individuals or groups is required.
* Demonstrated experience in online counselling using appropriate technology to deliver effective services is essential.
* An understanding of and commitment to equity and social justice is necessary.
* This role requires highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in varied settings and with diverse groups.
Note: The successful candidate will be expected to adapt to changing circumstances and demonstrate flexibility in their work.
