About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Senior AV Technician to join our Perth team. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with at least 3 years of AV installation and integration experience. You’ll take the lead in office, managing installations, commissioning systems, and ensuring the seamless delivery of AV projects. This is a hands-on role where you’ll also have the opportunity to mentor junior technicians and work on high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and integrate AV systems including displays, projectors, video walls, conferencing systems, control solutions, and speakers
- Commission and test systems, ensuring full functionality and client satisfaction
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and site plans
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve AV system issues effectively
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver projects successfully
- Lead by example on-site, maintaining safety and quality standards
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior AV technicians
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in AV installation and integration
- Strong working knowledge of technologies such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, Q-SYS, Shure, Biamp, Cisco, Poly, or similar
- Skilled in rack building, structured cabling, and system commissioning
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills
- Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel to project sites
