A confidential opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a collaborative finance team within a financial services environment undergoing significant integration, audit and systems change. This is a broad and hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys working across month‐end, financial reporting, reconciliations, audit support and finance operations, while also contributing to process improvement and supporting a business navigating a significant period of integration and systems change.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, this role will suit a detail‐oriented finance professional who is comfortable operating in a lean team, managing competing priorities, and producing accurate, high‐quality work in a fast‐moving environment.
Key responsibilities
* Lead month‐end close, including journals, reconciliations and reporting deliverables
* Prepare financial statements and support the year‐end audit process
* Assist with board reporting and broader internal finance reporting requirements
* Review payroll outputs and support wider finance operations activities
* Identify opportunities to improve reporting, controls and efficiency through Excel and finance systems
* Contribute across BAU, audit and transformation activity within a collaborative team environment
About you
* Experience in a Senior Financial Accountant or similarly broad, hands‐on financial accounting role
* Strong capability across financial reporting, month‐end, reconciliations, audit support and financial statements
* Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to work confidently across formulas, models and reporting outputs
* High attention to detail, strong ownership of data quality, and a disciplined approach to accuracy
* A practical, collaborative and low‐ego working style
* Comfortable operating in a broad role within a lean, high‐performing team
* Experience in financial services, banking, payments or another regulated environment will be highly regarded
