We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and can hit the ground running during a critical period for our business.
What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of the Rip Curl ANZ finance team, you'll be responsible for:
* Leading month-end reporting and general ledger reconciliations
* Reviewing actuals vs. budgets/forecasts and providing variance commentary
* Partnering with FP&A and cost centre owners to deliver insights
* Supporting tax compliance (BAS, FBT, WHT)
* Investigating stock costing variances and ensuring inventory accuracy
* Assisting with the ERP system transition and ad-hoc finance projects
* Driving cost reduction initiatives and supporting audit processes
* Ensuring strong financial governance and controls across the business
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is:
* CA/CPA qualified with at least 5 years' experience in financial accounting
* Experienced in Big Four audit (preferred)
* Technically strong with a deep understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
* Skilled in Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft AX or D365 advantageous)
* A confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
* Adaptable, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
* Experienced in retail and/or listed companies (a plus)
* Committed to high standards of integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy
