**About the position**:
Reporting to the Head of Global Markets and Commercial, this opportunity is based in London and will oversee our activities in the U.K. and Europe markets. You will be responsible for Visit Victoria's marketing, business and PR strategies in-market by delivering innovative and integrated marketing and communications to increase visitation, length of stay and yield from affluent international travellers within the region's target segments.
Partnering with our stakeholders you will:
- Lead and develop solid in-market commercial relationships, influence partners, Tourism Australia, and government; execute MOUs & campaigns whilst managing agencies and media buy in-region
- Deliver market insights to Melbourne office and industry
- Lead trade missions and aid Victorian product at Tourism Australia, Victoria and partner events
- Represent Visit Victoria's interests at senior levels across multiple industry and government sectors by providing cross industry consultation, market expertise and authoritative advice on major projects across industry and government.
- Manage and coordinate the operations, financial and resources allocated to the international office/s and leverage co-operative revenue from industry partners
- Lead and manage the development and implementation (including in-house and via third parties) of Visit Victoria's global marketing plans including effective public relations, advertising, marketing, digital and consumer strategies and Visit Victoria's global tourism and business plans.
**About you**:
You also bring demonstrated experience in the following:
- Developing and implementing strategies, advertising campaigns, business plans and creating opportunities through business channels.
- Representing product at major international and local exhibitions, conferences and missions.
- Managing stakeholder management and building relationships with senior tourism, government and commercial stakeholders.
- Undertaking high level negotiations with the tourism and travel industry in-market.
- Integrating digital marketing with information distribution and tactical campaigns or promotional strategies together with considerable experience in digital content development.
- Interpersonal, analytical, presentation and communication skills including solid experience in the preparation of written reports, press releases and recommendations.
- Assessing, engaging and management of third-party contractors including creative, marketing, public relations, media buy and digital agencies.
- A record of creativity in marketing and the demonstrated ability to undertake product development and merchandising initiatives.
- This position has a requirement to work out of hours, and it will involve evening or weekend work including occasional international travel.
