About the Opportunity

ONRSR has established a new Statutory Compliance Division to lead the strategic, operational and legal direction for ONRSR's regulatory compliance, enforcement and prosecution functions and to manage ONRSR's legal risks.

The role of Paralegal / EA is to provide support to the Executive Director Statutory Compliance and members of the team, combining legal and compliance casework assistance with executive administration duties.

You will need to be someone that thrives on achieving quality outcomes, takes a proactive approach to your work and enjoys planning, organising and supporting your team to succeed.

About you – your impact and contribution

This role requires the provision of support services to the Executive Director Statutory Compliance including meeting preparations, the coordination and collation of papers and reports, diary management and meeting support. In addition, you will use your legal knowledge to conduct research, prepare case summaries and briefing notes, assist in the preparation of court documents and cases, provide support during hearings and assist with the drafting and reviewing of statutory notices, directions and other compliance related documentation.

To be successful in the role you should have:

* A law degree or equivalent studies, or be close to completing;
* Highly developed verbal and written communication, liaison and interpersonal skills to interact and foster trust and cooperation effectively with all levels of management, staff and external stakeholders;
* Proven experience in records management in a complex organisation;
* Proven experience in maintaining professionalism and confidentiality;
* Strong legal research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret legislation, case law and prosecutorial guidelines;
* Demonstrated ability to draft accurate and concise legal documents and correspondence;
* High level organisational skills with capacity to manage competing priorities and deadlines; and
* Ability to balance paralegal duties with executive support functions.
