Lawyer / Associate – Statutory Compensation
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer or Associate to join a highly regarded statutory compensation team in Melbourne. Working within a leading national practice, you will gain exposure to complex and rewarding litigation matters acting for major statutory authorities and institutional clients.

About the Role
You will work closely with experienced senior practitioners on a broad range of statutory compensation and litigation matters, including:
* Acting in matters before the Magistrates', County and Supreme Courts of Victoria
* Advising on statutory compensation and recovery claims
* Managing litigation matters from inception through to resolution
* Providing strategic advice to sophisticated institutional clients
* Working across workers' compensation and transport accident matters
* Drafting pleadings, evidence and legal submissions
* Engaging directly with clients and stakeholders on complex legal issues

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* Experience in statutory compensation, insurance litigation, personal injury or related practice areas
* Exposure to litigation and dispute resolution processes
* Strong file management and organisational skills
* Excellent drafting and communication abilities
* A proactive, commercially minded and client-focused approach
* The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team
* A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in statutory compensation law
Experience advising on workers' compensation or transport accident matters will be highly regarded, although candidates from adjacent practice areas are also encouraged to apply.
