About the Role The Salvation Army Housing South Australia offers a mix of crisis, transitional, and long-term housing accommodation to persons who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across the state. We believe in creating safe, supportive, and inclusive communities where individuals and families can thrive.As part of our mission, we are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Tenancy Assistant to join our team in Manningham on a permanent, full-time basis and contribute to our vital work in the community housing sector.This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact! As a Tenancy Assistant, you will be supporting Tenancy Managers and Asset Services Officers with administrative tenancy and property management functions. Your role will involve everything from assisting with property inspections and maintenance coordination to ensuring tenants receive exceptional service. Key Responsibilities: Manage incoming phone calls, front desk inquiries, and distribute keys to contractors, ensuring smooth communication.Support the housing team with day-to-day property and tenancy management, including issuing property inspection notices and coordinating inspections.Report minor maintenance issues, issue work orders, assist with invoice coding, and support payment processing.Collect and maintain accurate client information, prepare and update reports, and manage filing and tracking systems for property documents.Perform general administrative duties, including file management, office supply monitoring, equipment maintenance, and overseeing mail distribution. About You Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in an administrative support or property management role. You will have high engagement levels and excellent relationship-building capacity to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Key Capabilities: Relevant industry experience in real estate or community housing will be highly regarded.Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act, Tribunal, and professional standards in the industry is desirable but can be gained in the work environment.Certificate IV in Administration or relevant industry experience.A current full driver's licence.Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain.
