System Administrator Position Overview
Our organization is seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our Incident and Service Request Response Team. This challenging role requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph and approved medical and psychological exams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot, repair, and replace hardware as needed.
* Communicate with customers and technical components to understand incidents or problems.
* Research issues using internal and external knowledge databases.
* Facilitate technical communications between operations and development staff.
* Distribute defect reports and system data collected during anomaly investigations.
* Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, perform upgrades, and support the transition and acceptance of new and modified systems.
* Analyze customer problems and implement corrective action for repairs.
* Assist with property and asset management.
* Monitor and update ServiceNow/HelpNow system tickets.
* Conduct datacenter walkthroughs to identify and resolve hardware issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
* Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience, or Master's with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
* Current DOD 8570 certification applicable to the position.
* Proven computer hardware and system troubleshooting skills.
* System administration skills.
* Ability to analyze problems and provide innovative solutions.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
* Ability to carry/lift 30 pounds of equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Working knowledge of ServiceNow/HelpNow.
* Experience working with system users and customers.
* Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
* Ability to demonstrate resourcefulness.
