Key Responsibilities
The Field Services Technician will be responsible for providing technical and training support to clients at their premises. This includes installing, upgrading, replacing, and de-installing EFTPOS terminals.
* Install, upgrade, replace, and de-install EFTPOS terminals.
* Provide on-site training to merchants and ensure they are comfortable with the new equipment.
* Manage and retain relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded.
* Support merchants with any issues or queries they may have.
* Coordinate and plan terminal rollouts, including managing stock levels and staging terminal configurations pre-roll out.
* Assist in the management of assets and arrange for the return shipping of terminals to head office or third-party vendors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven customer service experience, with a focus on building trust and confidence with clients.
* Technical troubleshooting skills, particularly with computer and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different personalities and situations.
* Installation and repair experience with PC or EFTPOS systems.
* Ability to multi-task and manage competing demands on time, prioritizing tasks effectively.
* A valid driver's license is essential for this role.
