Salary: AUD 68,500 to 70,000 +12% Superannuation

Our client, INDIAN CHEF NT PTY LTD operating a restaurant in Alice Spring, NT is looking to fill full-time position for qualified and skilled Waiter. This company takes pride in their ability to deliver quality food and a superior service every time. The restaurant is a highly regarded venue for both its food and welcoming hospitality in a vibrant atmosphere with a typical Indian sense of family.
Minimum Requirements:
* Certificate II/III in Hospitality or at least 1 year of relevant experience
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet customers, present menus, explain dishes and make food and beverage recommendations
* Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system
* Serve meals and beverages promptly while maintaining high service standards
* Set up, clear and reset tables to ensure a clean and organised dining area
* Handle customer enquiries, special requests and complaints in a professional manner
* Process payments, operate EFTPOS/cash registers and balance bills
* Maintain knowledge of menu items including South Indian dishes and ingredients
* Follow food safety and hygiene standards when handling food and beverages
* Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure correct and timely order delivery
* Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness of the restaurant and service areas
Skills and Personal Attributes:
* Skilled in providing attentive table service and taking accurate food and beverage orders
* Good understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling practices
* Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced dining environment
