Executive Business Development Manager

We have a new opportunity for an Executive Business Development Manager to lead our South Australia sales teams.

This senior leadership role will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets. This role will oversee the entire sales function, leading and mentoring both External and Internal sales teams whilst building strong client relationships and driving business development initiatives.

Responsibilities

* Developing and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.
* Analysing market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for business expansion.
* Setting and communicating clear sales goals, KPIs, and performance benchmarks for the sales teams.
* Leading, inspiring, and managing high-performing sales teams, including recruitment, training, and professional development.
* Fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence within the sales department.
* Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and partners.
* Identifying new business opportunities and growth areas in line with the company's vision.
* Overseeing the development of sales pipelines and ensure a consistent flow of new prospects.
* Collaborating with the marketing team to design and execute campaigns that generate leads.
* Monitoring sales performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for executive leadership.
* Providing accurate sales forecasts and ensure consistent achievement of revenue targets.
* Analysing data to identify sales trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.
* Working closely with other departments, including operations, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
* Providing insights and feedback to influence product development, pricing strategies, and service offerings.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience in sales management, with at least 3 years in a senior or executive role, preferably within the hire or capital equipment sales business.
* Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
* Exceptional leadership and people management skills combined with sound emotional intelligence.
* Ability to continually develop strategies for ongoing training and development of your team to ensure continued growth and engagement.
* A successful track record for achieving results through influence.
* The proven ability to build and foster strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
* Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to persuade, negotiate and resolve conflict.
* Resilience and the determination to achieve required results.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer software including CRM and video conferencing software.
* The ability to prepare reports, presentations and supporting information.
* The ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment effectively, meet deadlines and successfully prioritise work.
* Strong motivation to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
