About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Workplace Safety Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring workplace health and safety compliance on-site.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a WHS role within construction and possess strong knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act, Codes of Practice, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist site supervisors in managing daily WHS requirements
* Conduct site audits, safety inspections, and risk assessments
* Manage site permits, contractor onboarding, and review SWMS and SDS submissions
* Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
* Communicate with site teams, contractors, and leadership on safety matters
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 3-5 years experience in a WHS role within construction
* Strong knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act, Codes of Practice, and industry standards
* Excellent communication skills with confidence in engaging with site teams
