Due to growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the Saunders team on a Permanent full-time basis. The role is based in Kalgoorlie and will be offered on a Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) basis from major cities across Australia, operating on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support the Project delivery in line with Project KPIs for SHEQ, Budget and Schedule
* Lead safety, health, and environment practices and behaviours by demonstrating a personal commitment to Saunders' Safety, Health and Environment polices to achieve a workplace free from incidents, discrimination, and harassment
* Support the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, day to day operations, project management and reporting of construction projects
* Coordinate procurement, delivery, and validation of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
* Provide technical support to site teams and clients, liaising with engineering to resolve design issues.
* Verify all drawings, revisions, and tools are correctly issued to field staff.
* Ensure work aligns with project execution plans, drawings, and approved method statements.
* Facilitate vendor meetings, track order progress, and issue meeting minutes.
* Oversee subcontractor performance for safety, quality, and compliance.
* Collaborate with Supervisors to resolve technical, scheduling, and safety issues.
* Facilitate the completion of ITPs, weld maps, and other quality documentation.
* Support accurate Project reporting of progress, schedule, cost and KPIs and robust project controls
* Support the management of change of the Project scope, schedule and budget.
ABOUT YOU
Essential
* Degree or Trade qualification in engineering, construction, or project management field.
* Experience in construction projects.
* Enthusiasm for the role and commitment to continual improvement and growth of the business
