As a
Vessel Monitoring Officer
, you will operate and maintain the Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) and assist in the collection, collation and dissemination of compliance and intelligence data for a range of stakeholders. Liaising and providing advice to those in the fishing industry, community groups and government agencies on VMS activities.
The Vessel Monitoring team is a small team of 4. You will be responsible for undertaking system administration and development such as investigating technology upgrades and maintaining databases. Participate in working groups, foster relationships with various groups, and contribute to process improvement. Assisting with law enforcement programs and compliance operations.
This position is located in Victoria Park, adjacent to the Swan River.
